College Football Week 3 Predictions

Week 1 Picks: 14-11-0
Week 2 Picks: 14-20-2

Season to Date: 28-31-2
Top 25: 16-9-1
Big East: 2-5-0
Big Ten: 5-7-0
Everything Else: 9-12-1

Definitely a rough week for my projections. It's always easy to pick the winners, but against a spread it's one of the hardest things to do. Still, I remain just below .500 and I've done pretty good in what I know best which are the top tier of college football teams. I've surprisingly struggled with the Big East, but the conference as a whole, is so close to the competition in any conference that the spreads are typically within a touchdown. I expect to improve this week though so let's see who I've got.

NFL Week 2 Panel

It was an interesting week. Some of us did really well. Some of us... not so much. A lot of people struggled picking winners in a week filled with close games and backwards outcomes. Did people really expect the Chiefs to lose to the Bills, let alone get throttled? How about Bruce Gradkowski relieving Andy Dalton in Cincinnati and coming out with a win over Cleveland? Well bad news. There's a lot of close games again this week especially when a lot of teams look like they haven't yet found themselves so we'll see if "The Rob" can lead the pack again.

Note: Do not fret NFL fans. "The Rob's" picks will be posted as soon as he makes them. Also I apologize for it being so small. For whatever reason it it is not formatting correctly. You should still be able to see the picks, but to keep your eyes from straining, here are the "standings."

"The Rob": 12-4
Jon Saia: 10-6
Rick Caswell: 9-7
Bob Schreiner: 8-8
Bobby Schreiner: 7-9
Katie Noone: 6-10
Kristina Rukavina: 4-12

Week 2 College Football Roundup: Pitt Looks Bad, WVU rolls in 2nd half, PSU no longer elite

Week 2 didn't quell any fears about their respective teams in Pittsburgh and Happy Valley. Questions abound for these two teams and it's anyone's guess where these teams will end up at season's end. In Morgantown, the mood is much higher as the Mountaineers destroyed Norfolk State. I'll do my best to give my opinion on what went down this weekend.

Around the NFL: Ravens soar to big win over Steelers

It's been a long time since the Steelers were manhandled, embarrassed, throttled, dominated.... okay, okay. They simply looked a team that didn't deserve to be on the same field as the Ravens. The good news? Somehow, they still looked better than a few teams this week. Let's go around the NFL and I'll give my views on the week one action with a heavy emphasis on the Steelers of course.

Here We Go: New Blog Schedule

Pittsburgh Steelers Time! It's finally here! Time to break out the Terrible Towels and whoop some Ravens ass. I wish I had some more stuff on here, and I will do so in the coming days. For now you can get plenty of great Steelers coverage at postgazette.com or pittsburghlive.com.

Moving on...

I apologize for the lack of articles, but I've been quite busy lately. To help myself out, and in turn make this blog better for my readers, here is what I'll be writing about on my blog for the time being:

Monday: Steelers Recap
Tuesday: College Football Recap
Wednesday: NFL Panel
Thursday: College Football Weekly Preview
Friday: ALL Things College Football
Saturday: ALL Things NFL
Sunday: OFF

This schedule is only strict in the sense that I will include everything mentioned above. I will add even more than this when I can. During this time I'll also fit in Pirates and Penguins stuff when I can.

Hopefully this helps and it will make this blog even better!
